Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own. If you choose Accept all in our banner, we load Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel, and they set cookies in your browser. Choose Only essential, close the banner, or simply don’t answer, and none of them is loaded at all. Everything that is kept either way is listed below.

What is kept in your browser

Four things. Three of them are needed for the site to do what you asked it to do, and the fourth is there only so that a page you open twice is not counted twice:

  • Your cart (opal_cart) — the pieces you have added, their sizes and how many, so your cart is still there if you come back. It is sent to us only when you check out, and it is emptied once your order is confirmed.
  • The order you are paying for (opal_pending_order) — when you go to the payment page we note the reference of that one order, so that we can show it to you when you come back. It is forgotten as soon as you return, and ignored after an hour in any case.
  • Your answer about cookies (opal_consent) — whichever button you chose in the banner, and when. Kept for twelve months, after which we ask again.
  • Which of your orders have already been counted (opal_reported_orders) — the numbers of the orders this browser has already reported to the tools below, at most the last fifty. It is there so that reloading your confirmation page, or opening it again next week, does not report your order a second time and leave us thinking we sold twice as much. It is nothing but order numbers, and it is never sent anywhere.

All four are stored by your browser itself, in what is called local storage, and not as cookies: unlike a cookie, they are not sent to our server with every page you open. None of them is shared with anyone, none of them says who you are, and none of them is used to follow you here or anywhere else. You can remove them all at any time by clearing this website’s data in your browser; you can also empty your cart from the cart itself.

What we measure, if you accept

Nothing below is loaded, and nothing is sent, unless you have chosen Accept all. Choosing Only essential, closing the banner, or simply not answering all mean the same thing: none of these is loaded at all.

Since October 2026 we measure more than visits. If you accept, they are also told when a piece is looked at, when one is put in a basket, when a checkout is started, and when an order is paid for — and for a paid order, which pieces, what it came to, and the order’s own number, which is the number on your confirmation page. We do that so that we can tell how well the shop is doing and which pieces people actually buy.

None of them is told who you are. Not your name, not your email address, not your telephone number, not your address, and nothing you typed into the checkout — not even in a scrambled form. What is sent is the pieces, the amount, the currency and the order number.

  • Google Analytics, run by Google, so that we can see how many people visit the shop’s pages, which pieces they look at and which ones they buy. It stores _ga and a second cookie whose name begins _ga_ in your browser, for up to two years, and it tells Google which of our pages you opened, your IP address and what browser you are using, along with the four things above. Google publishes its privacy policy on its own website.
  • Google Ads, also run by Google, so that we can tell which of our advertisements led to a sale. It stores _gcl_au in your browser, for up to three months. When an order is paid for it is told the order’s number, its total and the currency, so that the sale can be counted against the advertisement you arrived from. We have switched off the parts of it that would build an advertising audience out of our customers, and this website shows you no advertisements. Google publishes its privacy policy on its own website.
  • The Meta pixel, run by Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, so that we can tell whether our advertising there reaches anybody and whether it leads to a sale. It stores _fbp in your browser, for up to three months, and it tells Meta that you opened a page here, along with your IP address and what browser you are using, and the four things above. Meta publishes its privacy policy on its own website.

All of them are run from outside Cyprus, so what they are told may be handled outside the European Union. Our Privacy notice says more about that, and about the ordinary server logs our hosting company keeps, which are not cookies and are not something we can offer you a choice about.

If you change your mind, we delete what they stored in your browser and reload the page, and nothing more is sent. What was sent before you changed your mind cannot be taken back, which is why we ask first.

Changing or withdrawing your answer

Use the Cookie choices button at the bottom of any page. It brings the banner back so you can change your answer whenever you like, and the new answer replaces the old one. If your browser is set to block site data, or you are browsing privately, nothing can be remembered and the banner simply asks again each visit.

Paying

When you pay, you are on the payment page of our payment provider, Viva.com (www.vivapayments.com). That page is not part of this website. Viva.com sets its own cookies there to process your payment safely and prevent fraud; they are not ours, we cannot read them, and our banner does not govern them. Viva.com publishes its cookies policy and its privacy notice on its own website.

Links such as Instagram or Maps take you to other websites with their own cookie policies.
